Welcome, my name is Isabel Ramirez.

After discovering scientific illustration before starting my higher education, I dedicated myself to training in this exciting discipline through the Spanish academy Illustraciencia, a project organized by the Museo Nacional en Ciencias and the Asociación Catalana de la Comunicación Científica, but also with other programs such as Natural History Illustration 101 at Newcastle University.

These courses allowed me to work with various groups of organizations, which gave me experience mainly in the field of ecology. As part of these courses, I also carried out paleoartistic reconstructions of species and paleoenvironments using fossil remains.

However, my curiosity to know the world does not end there, since thanks to other HarvardX courses, I have delved into neurosciences, and Kyoto in the world of extremophiles, so I would like to continue working and learning in the field of biomedical sciences and microbiology.

In August 2023 I won the first biological illustration contest of the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico, and since then I have been illustrating scientific publications and other outreach projects.

I am currently studying general biology at the University of Sherbrooke, and I hope to continue discovering and contributing to the exciting world of biological sciences.

See you soon!
